G&G Reinforced Upgraded AEG Piston Review

Tough but requires major fitment

Rating: 3/5

Pros: Aesthetically Pleasing, Tough

Cons: Much Fitting Required

Best Use: 500 fps and below

Bought at: Evike

I can't use this in my gun at this point. The Guarder gears like every piston except this one, heck my JG stock gear didn't even mesh with the teeth of the piston at all, I had to take a saw and saw out the troughs of the teeth JUST so a CA stock gear could mesh...barely. I also had to file the teeth down so that it would fit correctly. Worked great until friction got too great and my CA gear broke a tooth. I will never buy this piston again.

However, it does have its good sides. It's a light piston, has a very strong front with 4 metal teeth for those uber fast guns to avoid pre-engagement stripping or jamming stripping, and a reinforced rear to guard against tough springs holding the piston in place. It also has low friction rails.

You take the choice of either having it not fit in your gun, or having the toughest piston... I don't know, maybe it won't fit in my reinforced CA gearbox shell even when the rails are dremeled a bit.
